Bring the museum to your classroom with one of our curated Object Kit Rentals. Students get their hands on history through our specialized kits, to hit key concepts and spark the love of learning in all who encounter them. Educators have the freedom to create their own lesson plans and activities with these great collection resources!
What to know before you book
- Object Kits are booked from Thursday to the Sunday of the following week. This 7 to 10 day rental allows for ease in pick up and drop off.
- Any damage caused to the kit between the time it leaves the museum to the time it comes back may result in the school or supervisor being held liable up to $125 and/or not being allowed to book another kit in the future.
- Late fees may apply if not returned by the last day of the booking.
- Payment by credit card is required at time of booking
- Kits must be picked up by the individual who booked (unless otherwise noted) we cannot ship these kits.

Arctic object kit
The Arctic Object Kit is built on the foundations of Indigenous cultural content specific to the Northern communities in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories. Invoke and inspire appreciation for Canada's diverse communities. Users of the kit will form a tangible connection to the Northern cultures and their history through hands-on materials such as miniature inuksuk, soapstone carvings, and much more!

Métis object kit
Bring the rich and long history of the Métis to your classroom. This object kit provides samples of artwork, tools and activities to deepen student understanding of Métis relationship to the land.

From rocks and minerals to fossils and animal pelts! our thematic kits span many different curricular themes between grades 1 and 7. Choose a kit that will spark your students' curiosity and get them up close to rare and special objects.
