Spaces for Rent
The Royal Alberta Museum has five main spaces available for rent. Each space varies in size and style. The available spaces are:
- Seminar Rooms - Waterton, Wood Buffalo, and Elk Island
- Café Spaces - Private Dining Room and Fraser Courtyard
Our theatre is not available for rental at this time.
The seminar rooms share the public portion of the second floor of the museum with the Manitou Asinîy. This gallery is accessible to the public during the museum’s regular public hours at no cost to visitors.

Full Catering Services
The Museum Café is the sole caterer for the Royal Alberta Museum. Please contact us for all your catering needs.
Important Info to Know
Location
The Royal Alberta Museum is located at 9810 103a Avenue. Our Facility Rentals office is located on the second floor of the museum near the theatre.
Parking
There is no onsite parking at the Royal Alberta Museum. The museum is near numerous public parking options and is readily accessible by public transit, including pedway access via Churchill Station. Accessibility
All our rental spaces are wheelchair accessible. The theatre and seminar rooms are located on the second floor of the museum and are accessible by elevator. Wheelchair accessible washrooms are near each rental space.
Guide dogs are permitted with proper documentation.
The museum also has a dedicated drop-off location for buses and large groups, as well as visitors with mobility considerations at the east entrance of the museum on 97 street.
Visitors can find accessible parking at the following nearby public parkades:
- Library Parkade – 13 accessible stalls
- Canada Place Parkade – six accessible stalls
- Edmonton City Centre West Parkade – 11 accessible stalls
Each of the above public parkades has its own pricing rates, and are not specifically reserved for Royal Alberta Museum visitors.
Lockers
Lockers are available for use on the main floor of the museum.
Security
Our security services are provided by the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires. Security staff are located at the Admissions desk on the main floor during regular public hours.
After-hours events will require additional security for the duration of the booking. Depending on the nature of the event, additional security may be required. We will work with you to ensure your event meets the proper requirements of our building.
