RAM’s rentable Object Kits are filled with specimens and artifacts from the RAM’s Learning Collection, offering a unique, hands-on learning experience. Quarantined between uses, these kits provide a safe and educational opportunity for educators and their students.
Bring RAM’s Learning Collection to your classroom! Bugs, Early Tools, Rocks and Minerals – would you like to enrich your classroom learning with objects and specimens from RAM? Borrow objects that relate to your units of study, and empower your students to write, sketch, discuss, question and appreciate Alberta’s history! Work with passionate museum educators to curate an experience right for you and your students – the possibilities are endless!
All kits will include a selection of 15-20 Learning Collection objects and specimens depending on your focus of study, a straightforward object list to identify objects, a class set of clean white gloves and a care and handling information sheet to guide your hands-on experience.
Arctic Object Kit
The Arctic Object Kit is built on the foundations of Indigenous cultural content specific to the Northern communities in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories. Through this kit we hope to invoke and inspire appreciation for Canada's diverse communities. Users of the kit will form a tangible connection to the Northern cultures and their history through hands-on materials such as miniature inuksuk, soapstone carvings and much more!
