Virtual School Programming

RAM school programs are going virtual! Using your school’s preferred virtual platform (Google Meets, Microsoft Teams, etc), your students can ‘visit’ the museum from the safety of the classroom, or their home. Let's connect and learn together!

Virtual Tours

Stories are all around us in the diverse galleries of the RAM. This 45-minute experience consists of a 30-minute tour through either the Human or Natural History Hall followed by a 15-minute question and answer period. Tours may be customized to meet grade level and curricular needs. Get a close look at some of our most engaging displays and chat with passionate museum educators who are excited to share with you! Recommended for Grades 3 and up.

Price: $100.00 per session.

Virtual Human Library

There's a wealth of information at the Royal Alberta Museum; check out your 'book' a.k.a. museum professional and tap into their expertise! Book a Virtual Human Library program for your class, and you will participate in a lively 45-minute virtual discussion with a subject matter expert. Choose a topic that fits well with your grade level (Recommended for Grades 3 and up) and curriculum focus. Together, you will explore exciting subjects from a selection of museum fields!

Price: $100.00 per session.

Little Virtual Human Library

Teach Pre-K to Grade 2? Then this program is for you! This live, online conversation is shorter in length than Virtual Human Library (approximately 20 minutes), and is supplemented with resources for your self-directed learning extension.

If you are interested in taking part in the pilot for this program, please fill out the booking request form and select 'Little Virtual Human Library.' A post-session debrief is included in this pilot to assess program success. Thank you!

This pilot program is currently full. Please check back in December for 2021 booking availability.
