Né à StPaul, au sein de la communauté francophone du nordest de l’Alberta, Roger Dallaire est musicien et conteur. Il propose une approche vivante et engagée des traditions francophones. Formé en théâtre physique à Toronto, il a joué dans plus d’une vingtaine de productions scéniques et écrit et mis en scène de nombreuses œuvres. Il a effectué de nombreuses tournées à travers l’Ouest canadien, notamment avec Daniel Gervais au sein du duo Tradbadours. Profondément enraciné dans la vie culturelle canadienne française, il contribue depuis plus de dix ans au festival hivernal Flying Canoë Volant à Edmonton et poursuit son travail de transmission du patrimoine francophone dans les écoles de la province.
Born in StPaul, in northeastern Alberta’s francophone community, Roger Dallaire is a musician and storyteller who brings a vibrant, lived approach to francophone traditions. Trained in physical theatre in Toronto, he has performed in over twenty stage productions and written and directed numerous works. He has toured extensively across Western Canada, notably with Daniel Gervais as part of the duo Tradbadours. Deeply rooted in Alberta’s francophone cultural life, he has been a key contributor for over a decade to the winter festival Flying Canoë Volant in Edmonton and continues to share performances celebrating francophone heritage in schools across the province.
