Children's Gallery

Created for our youngest visitors, the Children's Gallery celebrates the importance of learning through play. Curiosity and active engagement lead children on a journey of discovery - making connections to the museum collections, our world, and their own sense of wonder. The Children's Gallery was created for children aged eight and under to explore and learn in a unique space just for them.

The museum is a special place! It can also be a bit overwhelming, so we want to help prepare you and your family as much as we can. Here are some tools we’ve put together. We hope that they will give you the best visit possible!

Sensory Kits

Our Sensory Kits include a backpack with noise reduction headphones, sunglasses, fidgets, and a timer. The kit also includes QR codes to our Sensory Maps. Sensory Kits come in both small and large sizes. They are available at the Admissions desk and are free to borrow.

Sensory Maps

Use our trusty Sensory Maps to guide your visit! They can help you find things like quiet areas, hands-on exhibits, movement opportunities, and lounging zones.
