Bella Twin and the Grizzly Bear

Do you love a good story like we do? Today, from Amiskwaciwâskahikan in Treaty Six territory, we have a special story from “As Long as the Rivers Flow” by Cree author Larry Loyie and Constance Brissenden, in honour of #OnceUponATimeMW and #IndigenousHistoryMonth.
This incredible story, based on true events, introduces the amazing Bella Twin, Larry's Cree-Iroquois grandmother, who shot and killed the world’s largest Grizzly bear in 1953.
