Seniors' Week - Native Garden Walk

A pink prickly rose flower sits atop a bed of green leaves

Location: Isabella Courtyard
Time: 11 - 11:30 am
Cost: Free with Admission. Admission is free for visitors aged 65+
Age: Geared toward visitors ages 65+ but open to all visitors

Join our Assistant Curator of Botany, Donna Cherniawsky for a relaxed walk through the Isabella Courtyard, which is home to many of Alberta’s native plants. Learn about a number of the trees, shrubs, and wildflowers that grow onsite at RAM and ask our Botanist about the native plant species that thrive here.

This activity is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled if weather or air quality is poor.

During Senior’s Week we recognize and celebrate the valuable contributions that seniors make in Alberta and worldwide. In honour of Alberta’s seniors, visitors aged 65+ can visit the Royal Alberta Museum for free from June 4 – 9, and we’re hosting special programming all day on Tuesday June 4 specifically geared toward lifelong learners!
